Japanese Trifele Black Tomato seeds (Solanum lycopersicum) - Heirloom, Open Pollinated, Organically grown

Japanese Trifele Black Tomato seeds (Solanum lycopersicum) - Heirloom, Open Pollinated, Organically grown

Heirloom Organic Japanese Black Trifele Tomatoes are pear-shaped and rarely crack. They have are terrific for sauces as they have less seeds and more tomato pulp than larger tomatoes.

Each fruit is about the size of a small Bartlett pear, weighing 4-5 ounces. The plant has potato leaf foliage and is indeterminate. What really makes these worth trying though (at least for me) is that when you combine them in sauces with other plum or paste tomatoes they bring down the acidity. Also, really terrific for canning.
