Double Red corn is gorgeous! The kernels are dark-red to deep-purple. Sweet and flavorful fresh when very young, but works very well once dried to make pink-red cornmeal for tortillas, chips, and bread. The stalks grow to 5-7 feet tall and produces ears of corn about 2 - 5 inches long.

Cornmeal flour and decoration.

The corn can also be eaten fresh but becomes more starchy as it matures, so if you want to eat it fresh pick them when they just forming into cobs.
