Originally from Hill Country in Texas, these beautiful 6 feet tall Okra plants are red-stemmed and produce wide, green pods tinged with red. Excellent pickling variety.
Packets: 10 (sampler), 15 seeds
Directions:
Sow Okra directly outdoors once all danger of frost has passed in your growing zone. There is no harm in starting them early indoors if you have room, in that case start 2-3 weeks before last frost date in your area. Once plants produce first sets of leaves harden outdoors and then transplant to garden or container.
Special germination instructions: Soak okra seeds in water for 12 to 24 hours before sowing.
Maturation: 60-65 days
Germination: 3-7 days
