Climate Adaptive Qualities

Ruby Red Swiss Chard has bright green red-veined leaves and dark red stalks. Vigorous plant and full leaves make for excellent yields.

Directions: You can sow Swiss Chard indoors if you want an earlier yield or plant them directly into the soil once all signs of frost have passed in your growing zone.
Sow seed indoors in early spring, about 5–6 weeks before transplanting. Sow 1/2" deep, 2–3 seeds per cell. Thin to 1–2 plants per cell.
Sow seeds outdoors after all signs of frost have passed and cover with about 1/2 inch of soil.

Maturation: 50 days
Germination: 5-10 days
Planting depth: 1/2"
Spacing: 4-6"
Rows: 12-18" apart

Our seeds are hand-packed in paper envelopes and the wax label paper is reused to reach zero waste as much as we can and protect the seeds.

Seeds are 1.50 in a stamped bubble-wrap envelope without tracking.
