Climate Adaptive Qualities
Climate Adaptive Qualities
Calendulas are not only a way to brighten your garden but also your salad, add in crafts, and also pastry making. My Father would plant Calendulas and Marigolds in a border around our garden to help trap harmful insects, attract beneficial insects, and deter deer and rabbits from nibbling on the vegetables. Mostly, I appreciate their gentle beauty and think other people might also.
Calendulas are happy almost anywhere and they prefer full sun, but also grow easily in partial shade. These are a mix of Calendula flowers from bright orange to pale creamy white. The flower heads are approximately 2-3" in diameter and the stems grow to 24 - 24" tall. These seeds are chemically untreated and easy-to-grow.
Directions:
Sow 6 - 8 before last frost inside. Harden plants gradually and then transplant outdoors. Can also be sown outdoors but wait until all signs of frost has disappeared and soil is 60 degrees F or more.
Germinates in 5 - 15 days
Seed depth: 1/4"
Plant: 16 - 18" apart
Prefers full sun but can grow in partial shade and tolerates dry conditions very wel

Our Mission
Our Mission
(✿◠‿◠)
We sell small batches because we think it's important to try a bunch
of different types of plants in your garden, and in your climate,
to see what is beneficial.
Our seeds are harvested fresh every Fall when we make small batches to sell. We also source fresh seeds for the year from local farmers, seed banks, and non-gmo organically grown suppliers.
THAT MEANS:
• Non-GMO
• USA grown
• Open-pollinated
• Untreated (no fungicides, pesticides, herbicides, etc.)
• Tested to meet the highest germination standards
